New Haven man facing charges in connection with fatal Shelton overdose

NEW HAVEN >> A New Haven man is in federal custody following an investigation into his potential role in selling heroin to a woman who fatally overdosed.

Corey Senior, 26, is scheduled to appear in court again Friday. He has been charged with possession with intent to distribute and distribution of heroin and conspiracy to distribute narcotics.

Investigators believe that Senior provided a 34-year-old woman with heroin shortly before she died from an accidental overdose on April 27, according to a release from the U.S. attorney’s office.

If convicted, Senior faces up to 20 years in prison on both counts, according to the U.S. attorney’s office.
