NORTH HAVEN >> A man responded to lifesaving efforts and is in the hospital recovering after police say they administered a dose of Narcan to a man suffering from a heroin overdose.
North Haven police responded Friday at around 3:20 p.m. to a Glenn Road address for a report of a heroin overdose, police spokesman Capt. Kevin Glenn said in a release.
Upon arrival, police found a 34-year-old man outside lying on the ground unconscious while a neighbor was administering CPR, Glenn said.
An officer administered a dose of Narcan to the man, who responded to the lifesaving effort and began showing signs of recovery, Glenn said.
He was later transported to the hospital for treatment.
